🛠️ Overcoming
    Childhood
    Adversity

Kenneth Webster’s life began with unimaginable loss. After losing his mother to gun violence as a young child and his father at age 11, Kenneth was taken in by his visually impaired grandmother, Ms. Elaine Webster. Her quiet strength and unwavering belief in him became his foundation.

Growing up in Washington, DC, Kenneth faced the kinds of challenges that derail many. But instead of giving in, he found grounding in the discipline and drive that sports (particularly baseball) demanded—not just the game, but the grit behind it. That determination carried him beyond his circumstances and toward a greater purpose.

🏀 Transforming Through Basketball

Basketball was never just a sport for Kenneth—it was a vehicle. Though baseball was his first love, it was on the basketball court that he discovered the structure, discipline, and work ethic that would change his life. Through countless hours of training, sacrifice, and focus, Kenneth earned a Division I scholarship—opening doors to higher education, global travel, and connections that expanded his worldview.

The game didn’t just teach him how to compete—it taught him how to lead, adapt, and overcome. It became proof that even in the face of adversity, drive can become destiny.

🏛️ Founding The Webster Foundation

In 2019, Kenneth Webster founded The Webster Foundation as a tribute to the woman who raised him—and as a promise to the youth who reminded him of himself. Inspired by Ms. Elaine Webster’s strength and the second chance she gave him, Kenneth envisioned an organization that would offer the same support, structure, and guidance to at-risk youth in Washington, DC.

He believed that mentorship, exposure, and care could shift the trajectory of a young person’s life—because it had changed his. The Foundation became his way of giving that chance back to the community that shaped him.

Though Kenneth tragically passed away in a car accident on December 16, 2024, his vision lives on. Today, we carry his mission forward with the same heart, purpose, and commitment he poured into every child he reached.

🌳A PILLAR OF SUPPORT

Ms. Elaine Webster wasn’t just Kenneth’s grandmother—she was his anchor. Despite her visual impairment, she provided the stability, structure, and love that gave Kenneth a fighting chance. She instilled in him the values of integrity, perseverance, and service—raising him with a clear vision of what was possible, even when the world tried to dim his future.

Through her care, Kenneth learned that guidance doesn’t require perfection—just presence, consistency, and belief. Her influence became the heart of the Webster Foundation: a reflection of the power one person can have on a life, and the ripple effect it can create for generations.
